Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: 17 May 2026
1. Fair play
RankTrade is a skill-based competition. Fair play is the foundation of every competition we run. This Acceptable Use Policy describes what we expect, what we do not allow, and how we enforce. It supplements our Terms of Service.
2. One account, one person
- Each individual may operate only one RankTrade account.
- Accounts may not be shared, sold, lent, or transferred.
- You may not create an account on behalf of another person, including a friend, family member, or organisation.
- If you previously had an account closed for breach of these rules, you may not create another without our written approval.
3. No automation, no scraping
- Bots, scripts, headless browsers, macros, and similar automation tools may not be used to place trades, manage positions, or interact with the Service.
- You may not scrape, mirror, index, or systematically collect data from the Service or its underlying APIs.
- Programmatic access for personal analytics is permitted only through interfaces we explicitly offer for that purpose.
4. No collusion
Coordinating with other participants to share strategies, transfer equity through compensating trades, or manipulate leaderboards is prohibited. This includes "chip-dumping" style schemes where participants intentionally lose equity to favour another participant.
5. No exploitation of bugs or latency
If you discover a bug, feed inconsistency, mispricing, latency arbitrage opportunity, or other defect in the Service, report it responsibly to security@ranktrade.io. Exploiting such defects to gain an advantage is prohibited and may result in disqualification, balance reversal, and account closure.
6. No unlawful, harmful, or abusive use
- Do not use the Service to launder money, evade sanctions, finance terrorism, or commit fraud.
- Do not impersonate another person, misrepresent your identity, or provide false information during onboarding or KYC.
- Do not harass, threaten, or abuse other users or our team.
- Do not upload or post content that infringes intellectual-property rights, is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or sexually explicit.
- Do not interfere with the operation of the Service or attempt to access accounts, data, or systems for which you do not have authorisation.
7. Identity verification
We may require identity verification at any time — for example, when you sign up, before processing withdrawals, or where prizes exceed a set threshold. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when verifying. Refusal to verify, or providing false information, may result in withholding of withdrawals or prizes and account closure.
8. Enforcement
Depending on the seriousness of the breach, we may:
- Issue a warning;
- Restrict access to certain features;
- Disqualify entries and reverse contested results;
- Freeze, forfeit, or claw back prizes;
- Close the account and any related accounts;
- Refer the matter to law-enforcement or other authorities where required by law.
We try to act proportionately, but for clear-cut cases such as multi-accounting or use of automation, the standard response is immediate disqualification and account closure.
9. Reporting violations
If you believe another user is breaching these rules, report it to support@ranktrade.io. We treat all reports as confidential.
